Code: SEN 20/0061 SENCO Training - 2 Day Training Course For Nominated New and Aspiring SENCOs

This course is for new SENCOs, practitioners supporting the SENCO, and those who may become a SENCO in the future. Priority for places on this course is given to settings without a SENCO or settings planning for staff changes.

The SENCO plays a crucial role in the quality of any setting but it can often be a daunting one for practitioners wanting to give children with additional needs the best start possible. This informative course will give you the tools you need to take forward your responsibilities to be an excellent EYFS SENCO.

How do you ensure SEND is a matter for everyone?

How do you manage and plan for the SEND training needs of other practitioners in your setting?

Do you know what your statutory duties are, where to go for help and how best to work with different
agencies?

All this is covered as well as some practical strategies and time for individual questions along the
way!

Once completed you are able to follow up with attendance at termly EY SENCO Liaison groups.
