Workshop Raising Awareness of Prevent

There is now a legal requirement for local authorities to raise awareness of Prevent. It is all about safeguarding children and parents who may be at risk of being drawn into radicalisation and terrorism.

As professionals within the education sector, we all have a statutory duty to be able to recognise potential vulnerabilities, warning signs and know how to make a Prevent referral for support in the pre-crime space.

It is essential that those working in the early years understand the Prevent duty and what they need to do. This short evening workshop to Raise Awareness of Prevent (WRAP) is prescribed by the Home Office and will help and support you in increasing your confidence and understanding. The course is delivered by Daniel Sullivan, Prevent Education Officer
