• Do you want to embed your knowledge and understanding of autism?
• Do you want some practical strategies to help in your work?
• Do you work regularly with children on the autism spectrum?

The good autism practice training has been designed for Early Years Practitioners and Early Years SENCOs in early years settings who are supporting children with Autism, or are on the pathway to a diagnosis.

The training consists of 4 x 1.5 hour sessions over 2 days; 11th November and 18th November 2021

It is also suitable for anyone who is interested in working with children with autism.

No previous training required.

This is a 4 part course over two days; 11th November 2021 and 18th November 2021.
You must attend each session to complete the course.

Important Information

This 2 day course will provide Paediatric First Aid training for Early Years and Child Care Practitioners to meet Early Years Foundation Stage requirements and as required by OFSTED.

This particular Paediatric First Aid course does not meet the End-Point Assessment for Apprentices completing the Early Years Educator – Level 3.

Due to the practical aspects of this course e.g. practicing CPR it is recommended that learners wear trousers and comfortable clothing. A text book is provided for each learner on this course.

The same person MUST attend both sessions to achieve a certificate. It is a LEGAL REQUIREMENT of the EYFS that 'at least one person who has a current paediatric first aid certificate must be on the premises at all times when children are present' (Statutory Framework for the EYFS, Page 26).

This course is aimed at all practitioners in the EYFS and will identify the key changes within the revised EYFS statutory framework. It will look at the requirements of Ofsted and how both the EYFS framework and Ofsted inspection framework work together, identifying key features of both documents.

Code: EYFS 21/00120 Safeguarding for New Designated Safeguarding Lead (EVENT FULL)

This course is for designated officers in group settings who are new to the role and lead on safeguarding children in their setting. It will provide the knowledge and skills to embed a consistent approach to the development and implementation of policy and procedures within the setting. It will focus on keeping staff ‘up to date’ and ensuring that the key message that ‘child safeguarding is everybody’s responsibility’ is understood by all staff.

This course will take place via Zoom Video Conferencing to support settings during the Covid-19 pandemic until such times we can safely deliver face to face training.

Instructions and a link to join the course will be provided by the trainer in advance of the Introduction session date.  All learners will attend by Zoom video call as standard.  Zoom is accessible on PCs, tablets and smartphones.

Please be aware, Zoom is not accessible via Buckinghamshire Council devices. To access this course you must ensure to have provided an email address which can be used from a non-Buckinghamshire maintained device.

Delegates will receive email communication from the trainer and must complete all parts:-
The training is divided in to two parts, both sessions are three hours duration and cover the training objectives. Please ensure you complete any pre-reading sent to you before the course.

Please ensure to logon to the session 10 minutes prior to the start time to enable all learners to be supported by the trainer and enable the session to start on time. Settings with more than one delegate attending need to ensure each learner accesses training VIA seperate devices.
