Course description
This free e-safety webinar is designed specifically for early years practitioners working in early years settings. It will give practitioners a range of information and ideas on how to develop and support online safety with children, staff and parents through the use of policy/procedure, discussing good practice while using technology and update staff knowledge.

Inspecting safeguarding in early years, education and skills - GOV.UK states "Adults understand the risks associated with using technology, including social media, of bullying, grooming, exploiting, radicalising or abusing children or learners. They have well-developed strategies in place to keep children and learners safe and to support them to develop their own understanding of these risks and in learning how to keep themselves and others safe. Leaders oversee the safe use of technology when children and learners are in their care and take action immediately if they are concerned about bullying or children’s well-being. Leaders of early years settings implement the required policies with regard to the safe use of mobile phones and cameras in settings".
Training objectives
This webinar will cover all of the online activities that children and young people are currently using and point you and your staff in the direction of resources they can use in their setting as well as share with parents / carers to help keep children safe online.

Topics will look at what children are viewing, what they are sharing and who they are making friends with, plus up to date information to include in your setting policy/procedure.
