Course description
Important Information

This 2 day course will provide Paediatric First Aid training for Early Years and Child Care Practitioners to meet Early Years Foundation Stage requirements and as required by OFSTED.

At this time, this particular Paediatric First Aid Course does not meet the End-Point Assessment for Apprentices undertaking the Early Years Educator - Level 3.

Due to the practical aspects of this course e.g. practicing CPR it is recommended that learners wear trousers and comfortable clothing. A text book is provided for each learner on this course.

The same person MUST attend both sessions to achieve a certificate. It is a LEGAL REQUIREMENT of the EYFS that 'at least one person who has a current paediatric first aid certificate must be on the premises at all times when children are present' (Statutory Framework for the EYFS, Page 26).

Additional Information
In line with COVID 19 safety, this course is run under social distancing and COVID safety such as restricted numbers attending, suitable ventilation and additional sanitisation.  To assist in this, the use of CPR manikins is restricted to single use, with deep cleaning in between course days.  Bandages for practice are also sole use and will be cleaned and isolated between course days.  Where close contact is required, such as recovery position,  the trainer will brief you on safe practice and additionally we will provide PPE that must be used.

Refreshments will be provided. Delegates to provide their own lunch.
